i spent the day clearing out my cube....going thru my drawers was like a tour thru time spent at Intranet....a lanyard from Computex exibition in Taipei...draft of sales reports...pictures of Penang branch staff...a watch from Fitness First...invoices ....various business cards...entry tags from Cosmetics and Beauty Expo....free gifts from suppliers...more exhibition tags

i do feel kinda sad leaving and i know i'll miss some of the people ive gotten to know here....but then its time to move on...another closing chapter in my life....cheers!

Saying the F word...

Last month i discovered that i had outgrown Santa's belly....and so i decided to go gym shopping....California Fitness?....nahh...Celebrity Fitness?...noway...EITP Fitness?...never heard of it....True Fitness?....sounded gay....

So that only left me with Fitness First...one of the worlds largest fitness chains...went in hoping to see some "action", didnt get any, but left much poorer anyways after meeting a recruitment consultant which i could almost swear hypnotised me....and so i became another hamster at Fitness First

I must say though, its not all bad....my branch at The Curve is huge and theres loadsa fit birds joinin classes in the evenings...however uve still gotta sort the lezzies from the ladies....then uve also gota be careful not to be too friendly with the men....2 weeks back, i felt hamsterish and so headed of to FF....while doin my thang, i happened to smile at this bloke next to me....Lord help me....he turned out to be a fairy!...he practically followed me around the whole centre!....i didnt feel hamsterish no more....no sir i certainly did not!

And by the way, if he touches me, i'll swat him across the head with my steering lock....

Blast From The Past

On Thursday i sent me folks of to the airport.....the drive back usually takes bout 45minutes if you keep to the speed limits...being the law abiding citizen that i am, i decided to cruise at 80kmph ....10mins into the journey home and i was half asleep....so to keep meself awake, i turned up the radio to full blast....

flipping stations as i went along, i suddenly heard Pantera being played!...at that moment Dimebag D was unloading his unforgetable riff in one of heavy metal's most popular songs from the 90's... ...."Cemetary Gates!!"...the deejay went on to play Led Zeppellin, Yngwie Malmstein, Metallica and yes, even Steve Vai....if you drove past me on the expressway, you would have seen me head banging in the car...literally...i was smiling all the way home!

Man, those songs reminded me of my old school days when i was in a band...we used to hangout at the jam studio and play our favourite songs...we played everything from Smashing Pumpkins to Third Eye Blind to KoRn to Metallica to Deftones to Guns and Roses and even Chinese songs from Beyond!...what fond memories....i remember getting such a rush from playing KoRn's "Blind"..and A.D.I.D.A.S....i used to scream my head of in the studio....after each jam session, all of us would have been half deaf from the distortion and mic volume...we'd go back with sore throats and back pains from jumping around.... and then we'd do it again the next day....life was bliss then

Jam session anyone?

Staring At The Sun

This evening i resurrected my electric guitar. Sweet memories of the past came flooding back.

Its an old 1999 sunburst coloured Gibson Epiphone with double humbuckers, Ernie Ball strings, and patented Strap Lock. It was the only decent electric guitar i could afford at that time and i loved it to death.

In many ways i still do. ....I remember spending all my free time in highschool jamming with me band mates at the jam studio.........Even at home i would never study. I'd just pluck on the strings or fry up some riffs with my amp and distortion at its max....... I also used to jump around with the guitar and the strap would keep falling off and so the Strap Lock became my best friend. If ur wondering wat i was doin jumping around with my guitar, i shall patiently explain....back then, there were 3 requirements to be a true rock guitarist.....1) Scream and/or growl like lead singers from heavy metal bands 2) Play cool and/or lightning riffs like Steve Vai/Slash 3) Jump like a monkey on ice

Back in the 90's i was into Guns n Roses, Metallica, Pantera, Soulfly, koRn, Rage Against the Machine and a host of pretty heavy bands....in fact, the 1st song i learnt to pluck on an accoustic guitar was Knockin on Heavens door....

As i polished the oxidation of my cables, my mind went back to 1998 when my band had a gig at the Civic Hall in PJ.......It was a Leo Club IU Event and the theme was Titanic....lol....anyways we played "Till I hear from you"-Gin Blossoms and "Israels Son"-Silverchair....it was a rush to hear the crowd cheer and the response!...we moved on to play a host of other gigs...those were the days....

Nowadays my life is just occupied with work and nothing else....often i find myself staring at the sun thinking of nothing but wonderinrg when the day will end or which customer i should visit next...weekends seem boring and lifeless....wat happened to the spice in my life and the enthusiam for the next day?....somehow i seem to have gotten caught in the web of deceit and disguise of the working culture here....My life isnt mundane or lifeless! Im full of energy and enthusiasm ! If i could hit the gym 5 days a week, swim 3 days a week, and walk an average of 5km a day in London, why cant i do it now ?....Damn right i can!....from now on im gona do sumthin bout it....

O shit, its way past sleeping time and i got a long day tomoro....I think i'll procrastinate for now...Cheers!
